Text Box: Welcome to our website. We have now completed our journey across the country! (August 25th). And what a journey it has been! It has been quite and adventure, and in total was 3, 830 miles. Text Box: We cycled the 3, 830 mile journey from Yorktown, VA across the USA to San Francisco, CA, to increase peoples’ awareness of cancer and also to promote healthy living.To support cancer research on both sides of the Atlantic, all funds raised through this venture will be shared between the American Cancer Society and Cancer Research UK; both leading organisations in the fight against cancer. We traveled through nine states and over three mountain ranges. The ride began on June 30th 2008 and was completed on August 25th. By increasing awareness of cancer and supporting vital charities such as Cancer Research UK and the ACS, we hope to have contributed towards the diagnosis of cancer in its earlier stages and the finding of cures faster than before.
